SOMETHING TO THINK ABOUT
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings, but shorter tempers; wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints; we spend more, but have less; we buy more, but enjoy it less.
We have bigger houses and smaller families; more conveniences, but less time; we have more degrees, but less sense; more knowledge, but less judgment; more experts, but more problems; more medicine, but less wellness.
We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry too quickly, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too seldom, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom.
We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often. We've learned how to make a living, but not a life; We've added years to life, not life to years.
We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet the new neighbor. We've conquered outer space, but not inner space; We've done larger things, but not better things; We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul; we've split the atom, but not our prejudice; we write more, but learn less; we plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait; We have higher incomes, but lower morals; We have more food, but less appeasement; We build more computers to hold more information to produce more copies than ever, but have less communication; We've become long on quantity, but short on quality.
These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion; tall men, and short character; steep profits, and shallow relationships. These are the times of world peace, but domestic warfare; more leisure, but less fun; more kinds of food, but less nutrition.
These are days of two incomes, but more divorce; of fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throw away morality, one-night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer to quiet, to kill.
It is a time when there is much in the show window and nothing in the stockroom; a time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to make a difference, or just turn the page...

GOT AGE?
Maturity, what does it mean? How can you say you reach that part of your life where everything around you always pushing you to the edge? Growing old does not mean you're matured, because I known people where they are in their mid 30's and act like a 5 year old kid. Considering the fact that all of us are born as purely pleasure seeking animals. Most of us believe that we are intellectual human beings. That is, that we are governed by our intelligence-but we are not. We are ruled by our emotions; anger, love, etc. And the "most" matured man is the one who has the best control of his emotions. And one of man's most powerful drives is his need for love...and all I can ask is, are you willing to sacrifice? If you answer is yes, then go for it. If not, then good luck in finding the true meaning of it...
Pursuing Happiness
How can we find happiness? A question that most of us are trying to figure out. Some of us takes a short time to find the answers, but some takes a lifetime to even realize whats the real meaning of it.
The pursuit of happiness is a matter of choice...it is a positive attitude we consciously choose to express. It is not a gift that gets delivered to our doorstep each morning, nor does it come through the window. And I am certain that our circumstances are just a small part of what makes us joyful. If we wait for them to get just right, we will never find lasting joy.
The pursuit of happiness is an inward journey. Our minds are like programs, awaiting the code that will determine behaviors; like bank vaults awaiting our deposits. If we regularly deposit positive, encouraging, and uplifting thoughts, if we continue to bite our lips just before we begin to grumble and complain, if we shoot down that seemingly harmless negative thought as it germinates, we will find that there is much to rejoice about.
UNDERSTANDING OUR PAST
It is easy to be negative about past mistakes and unhappiness. But it is much more healing to look at ourselves and our past in the light of experience, acceptance, and growth.
Our past is a series of lessons that advance us to higher levels of living and loving. The relationships we entered, stayed in, or ended taught us necessary lessons.
Some of us have emerged from the most painful circumstances with strong insights about who we are and what we want. Our mistakes? Necessary. Our frustrations, failures, and sometimes stumbling attempts at growth and progress? Necessary too. Each step of the way, we learned. We went through exactly the experiences we need to, to become who we are today. Each step of the way, we progressed. Is our past a mistake? No. The only mistake we can make is mistaking that for the truth.
LOVE AND HATRED...
Everything happens for a reason. Nothing happens by chance or by means of good or bad luck. Illness, injury, love, lost moments of true greatness and sheer stupidity all occur to test the limits of your soul. Without these small tests, if they be events, illnesses or relationships, life would be like a smoothly paved, straight, flat road to nowhere.
If someone hurts you, betrays you , or breaks you heart, forgive them. For they have helped you learn about trust and the importance of being cautious to who you open your heart to.
If someone loves you, love them back unconditionally, not only because they love you, but because they are teaching you to love and opening your heart and eyes to things you would have never seen or felt without them.
Make every day count. Appreciate every moment and take from it everything that you possibly can, for you may never be able to experience it again.
Talk to people you have never talked to before, and actually listen. Hold your head up because you have every right to. Tell yourself you are a great individual and believe in yourself, for if you don't believe in yourself, no one else will believe in you either.
You can make of your life anything you wish. Create your own life and then go out and live it.
My own thoughts
It matters, if individuals are to retain any capacity to form their own judgments and opinions, that they continue to move and seek the reason of their existence. How they act and speak, well or badly, and where they came from cannot depend wholly upon themselves, but who they are, on whats inside them, that you can separate good from bad. You can do nothing to pass the time, or you can live your life with love and passion, with an overt urgency, but eventually you will live against the clock, as if each single day is short.
Live life to the fullest, as what i have learned, be free..but freedom is a mistaken word that most of us do. Freedom is doing what is only good. Obstacles is endlessly available to us; where shall wisdom be found is the question.If you are fortunate, you will encounter a particular person who can help, who will guide you, whom you will love unconditionally, and once you encounter that person, don't let go, because loving someone is one of the great pleasures that life can afford you, because it is, at least in my experience, the most healing of pleasures...
